Jacob Fisher

Developer for Bard’s Center for Experimental Humanities

Jacob Fisher ‘19 is the Developer for Bard’s Center for Experimental Humanities. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies and Computer Science. For his senior project, he explored the narrative capabilities of video games by developing a game for the Game Boy Color based on Kobayashi Takiji’s acclaimed piece of Proletarian Literature, Kani Kōsen (The Crab Cannery Ship). Jacob is interested in creating safe and inclusive environments for others to learn more about computers and how these machines mediate our lives. He is the founder of nybblezine, a zine geared towards creating such an environment.
