EH Workshops: Cartographic Secrets
Cartographic Secrets! Draw Maps by Navigation
Sep 19 from 2-4pm
Location: EH (New Annandale House)
Maps are everywhere and integral to everyday life, especially in the digital era. From news and weather reports to make data visualization more human-readable, to GPS software, so you don’t have to memorize how to get to the grocery store for the 100th time, to propaganda and war machines. Maps are controversial. Maps are powerful. In this workshop, Misha, the Developer at the Center for Experimental Humanities will demonstrate how to create maps in real time, using analogue, private methods of navigation and hand drawing, for community sharing of map data and secrets within!
Cartographic Secrets! Pt 2: Stylize Maps with QGIS
