Designing and Teaching Experimental Humanities Courses: Digital Methods and Beyond

November 2, 2018, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm

Event Information

Prof. Maria Sachiko Cecire (Director the Center for Experimental Humanities) and current EH faculty from across the College will share their experiences and provide examples of the diverse “practice-rich” assignments that they’ve designed and used in their courses, both in collaboration with Center for Experimental Humanities staff and on their own. Topics of discussion will include how to create digital and analog assignments that provide maximal impact while minimizing the investment of faculty time; best approaches to assessing nontraditional projects; the benefits and limitations of digital humanities work; and what assistance the Center for EH can offer faculty and staff in their course development.
