Can digital humanities methodologies underpin more equitable intellectual exchange, and even help disrupt entrenched hierarchies of knowledge? How can emerging technologies help us collaborate across borders in times of conflict and crisis? In order to capitalize on such possibilities, what do folks who work with archives and museum collections (or want to!) need to know about changing best practices in information management strategies?
Join us for a lecture introducing the promise and prospects of Linked Open Data (LOD) for work in GLAM fields (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums). This lecture will kick off the IDEA Lab at EH, a humanities research lab at the intersection of digital humanities, cultural heritage, and human rights. The IDEA Lab is envisioned to help volunteers gain experience in LOD methods, and offers paid part-time summer internships.
All members of the Bard community are welcome!
